PTLLS has changed!
In September 2013 teaching qualifications for further education were simplified, restructured and renamed.
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (EAT) replaces the Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).
For more information about the changes to all FE teaching qualifications read our 'What happened to PTLLS?' article.
Using the same practical and inspirational approach that we use on all our first aid courses React First will be running the new EAT course. To make sure that we give all our students the follow up support that they need to finish their assignments and complete the qualification as promptly as possible we plan to run four open EAT courses per year.
Having an excellent understanding how people learn and what you can do to assist them in learning to the best of their ability and make it an enjoyable experience is what keeps all our trainers enthusiastic about their training. It is also means that the most common comment post-course is 'that was the best course I've ever attended'.
A lot of of people have heard of Kolbs learning cycle, VARK, experiential learning, etc but very few actually manage to use then in their day to day course delivery. Attending a well structured, well delivered EAT course will help you to unlock the secrets of how to use these established educational methodologies and make them relevant to your own teaching and training. We have spent a lot of time and effort developing our delivery of this EAT qualification to make sure that this course is inspirational. It is certainly not just a 'tick in the box'!
