Course - Documented Fire Risk Assessments

Dependant on the size and layout of your area of responsibility and the processes involved will determine the cost for us to conduct a fire risk assessment.

All fire risk assessments are conducted by ex-Fire Service personnel and all information provided within the document is in layman's terms (no technical jargon).

To assist you in complying with the new Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Services can conduct a comprehensive fire risk assessment on your behalf.

Our fire risk assessments include a tour of the whole workplace or your area of responsibility, to identify:

  • Who is at risk
  • Process or building hazards
  • Ignition sources
  • Deficiencies in existing fire precautions
  • Correct type(s) / quantities and suitably maintained fire equipment
  • Appropriate signs / notices
  • Adequate means of escape in the event of fire
Following the completion of the fire risk assessment a fire safety management plan would be produced and issued to you. Included within the document
would be:

  • Documented fire risk assessment
  • List of significant findings
  • Recommendations / guidance on all remedial action(s)
  • Identification of potential ignition sources
  • Staff / building fire action plans
  • Fire risk assessment performance indicator
  • Detailed description of installed fire equipment
  • General fire safety advice
  • Fire equipment logbook including:
    - Guidance for continued maintenance of your building fire safety
    requirements
    - Staff and equipment maintenance record sheets
Please note:
By implementing and managing our fire safety management plan you will not only reduce the risk of fire occurring and ensure compliance with current fire legislation (Law), but you will also ensure that you have appropriate precautions and safeguards in place to protect your staff and visitors. Secondly, the fire risk assessment (when implemented) would reduce the risk to your assets and increase the likelihood of business continuity if in the unfortunate circumstance a fire were still to occur.
