Expedition First Aid

Course - Emergency Expedition, days from help - 16+ hrs

Emergency Expedition, First Aid Care Days from Help - 16+ hrs
This three day (16+ hours) course offers and additional day to the Emergency Advanced course to include and expedition specific module tailored to the group.  Each course is uniquely tailored to the client group.

The Emergency series is for those with some First Aid experience and provides 2 days of hands on interactive training covering essential First Aid technique and incident management and then a further 1 day environment specific module tailored to the group. The courses are aimed expedition members who are travelling days away from medical help and require further first aid insight rather then invasive medical training.

We encourage an ethos of becoming advanced at the basics rather than basic at advanced skills. This is a first aid course rather than expedition medic course. Providing additional knowledge and developing relevant understanding, it builds upon previous knowledge enhancing casualty monitoring skills and extending incident management skills in a proactive way.

Certificates are valid for three years and fulfil the needs of all the outdoor national governing bodies for their instructor awards, such as ML, SPA, RYA, BELA.
