Booking a Course
We can run in-house training at your venue for groups of up to 12 per instructor. You simply need a room large enough to not only seat everyone but also to allow them to lie on the floor and be rolled around without bumping into furniture or each other. “As a cycle instructor I was looking for a first aid course to not only tick the appropriate legal boxes but also to give me the confidence to deal with an incident should one arise. Within our local area we have 5 or 6 part time instructors all looking for the same thing but like myself mostly coming up against a brick wall with a course specific to both cycling and first aid.
After a bit of web search I found Jenny from React First and explained the problem and she was quick to put my mind at ease with a solution. When I had arranged for an agreeable date for the final 8 people attending the course Robin came to our facility armed with a number of dummies and other kit including his projector and screen – how it all fit in his car was an art in itself!.
As it happened, and probably to the surprise of all of us attending, Robin is also a cycle instructor among a number of other things and we extended the HSE required 6 hour duration of the course to include a further hour of cycle related discussion and incident management. This wasn't a separate hour but interspersed throughout the day to make a really relevant and informed day of training geared to exactly what we do.
Very informative, fun, hands on and the day flew by which is always a sign of a good course! Many thanks Robin and Jenny – see you in 3 years!"
